Creating users

In the backend, go to Users via the navigation on the left.

Users are all users of the site's backend. Most sites only have content managers. Some sites have a platform where all members have their own login, or interns and employees who are only allowed to access a certain part of the backend. Let us know if you would like to add other roles besides content managers, and we will create them for you. This part will then be reviewed together during training.

How can I create a new user?

Creating new users is completely free. You can create a new user via the + New user button on the top right. Fill in a first name, last name and e-mail address. Check that the new user wishes to receive an e-mail. It is important that in the second tab under Permissions you check that the new user is a content manager, and click on Save. This will give the new user the same rights to edit content as the other Content Managers. Finally, as security, you must enter your personal password again to add the user. The person in question will now be sent an e-mail with his personal login information.

There is no limit to the number of users you can create. We would urge you to create a separate login for each content manager or colleague. That way there can be no confusion about who made changes to a certain page.

How can I put a user on hold?

When a colleague leaves, you can put this person on hold or “suspend”. This will prevent this person from logging into the backend. Deleting is not done for security reasons. The user remains because otherwise all data entered by this user would also be deleted together with the account.

Click on the person you want to deactivate. Click on the cogwheel in the lower right corner and choose Suspend. In the same way you can unsuspend the person.

When you click on All in the overview of all users you can see which users are active, pending or suspended. Pending means that they have not yet clicked on the activation link in the activation email and therefore cannot log into the backend yet. You will not need the other statuses.
