However, it is the most frequently asked question I get. Unfortunately, I can't give a fixed answer to it. It is a huge challenge to determine the exact cost of a professional website.

It's the same if I were to ask you how much a house should cost.

That question also needs to be more specific.

  • Do you want to live in the country or in the city?
  • Does it have to be an environmentally friendly home?
  • How many rooms do you need?
  • Do you want a garden to go with it?
  • What is your budget?

The question "how much does a house cost?" is ultimately quite complex.

Just like determining what a house costs, determining a price for your website is different from person to person.

Before you start thinking about the price of a website, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What is your budget?
  • How many pages is your website going to need?
  • What features does your website need?
  • Who will write the texts for the website?
  • Do you have photos to dress up your website?
  • What is the deadline for your website?
  • How will you promote your website?

The price for a professional website

€1.500 to €5.000 per website

After all, a lot of hours go into making a website. The cost is therefore very dependent on the hourly rate that your web designer uses. Such an hourly rate varies from €30 to €100 per hour. If you want a quality, professional website that has a few services pages and is built with clean code, you should expect it to take about 50 hours.

Therefore, €1.500 to €5.000 is a good estimate of the cost of a professional website. Are you going for some complex functions? Then that amount can quickly add up.

For example, the price for a professional website with online application (think of webshops, price comparators, etc.) is easily €5.000 to €15.000.

about your next project.
